The conference will be accompanied by a full day Educational Workshop on Affective Neuroscience (EWAN) that will take place in Cankarjev dom on Saturday, September 24th. The Workshop is primarily designed for psychiatry and neurology residents and clinical psychologists in training, however students and interested professionals are welcome to attend as well.
The Workshop will cover a wide array of topics in affective neuroscience spread over three sessions:
1/ Neural bases of emotion will provide a general introduction to the topic of emotion, its neurobiological bases and mechanisms of regulation.
2/ Emotion and mood in psychopathology will address emotional dysfunction in psychotic, neurodegenerative, anxiety and mood disorders.
3/ Special topics and clinical cases will cover controversial issues and case studies related to emotion in clinical settings.
EWAN sessions will run in parallel with conference thematic symposia, allowing the participants to attend the plenary and special talks, poster session and coffee breaks with the rest of the Conference attendees.
Workshop will be available free to conference participants registered for either the full conference or Saturday, September 24th only. Due to limited number of slots, we do however ask the participants to register for the Workshop when registering for the conference.
