Thematic symposia proposals

Thematic symposia are the core of SNC'13 programme. The Programme Committee welcomes submissions of thematic symposia proposals from all fields of neuroscience. To submit a proposal for a symposium, please use the form below. Make sure to enter all the required information before pressing the Submit button. An automatic confirmation will be sent to your e-mail address following successful receipt of your application.

Symposium proposal submission guidelines

Symposia may address any neuroscience topic. Interdisciplinary research presentations and internationally diverse speaker selection are encouraged. Symposia proposals should include a minimum of 4 (30 minute each) and maximum of 6 (two 30 minute and four 15 minute) talks1 . Each symposium should have a chairperson. It is the applicants’s responsibility to secure participation of all invited speakers in the symposium prior to proposal submission.

The proposal should include:

  • symposium title,
  • name(s) and affiliation(s) of the Symposium chairperson(s),
  • description (300 words) of the Symposium topic and scope,
  • names and affiliations of the presenters with tenative titles of their talks
  • three to five keywords that best descibe the issue(s) presented.

SiNAPSA will provide funds to cover economy travel and lodging expenses of one invited speaker per symposium. If you would like to use SiNAPSA funds to finance an invited speaker, submit an application for funds in the form below.

Submission deadline for proposals is January 31, 2013. Applicants will be notified of the Programme Committee selection via e-mail by February 10, 2015.

  1. In agreement with the symposium chairperson, if time and themes permit, a few short oral presentations selected from submitted abstracts may be added to the accepted Symposia.
