SiNAPSA Neuroscience Conference (SNC) is a Central European neuroscience event, organised biennialy. In 2011, the SNC has gained the status of a FENS Featured Meeting.
Format of the conference follows several key aims:
SNC'11 is organised by a consortium of neuroscientists from Slovenia with colleagues from Trieste, Italy, and Zagreb, Croatia. We therefore expect the attendance of conference to grow compared to previous years, to above 300 participants, half of them coming from Slovenia and others from abroad. We anticipate about 150 poster presentations and around 50 oral presentations (with plenary speakers, Workshop talks, the A.O. Župančič Memorial Lecture and the Neuroscience and Society event. We expect students and junior researchers to represent about two thirds of all participants.
Exhibitors and sponsors of previous Sinapsa Neuroscience Conferences were mainly comprised of institutions and commercial companies related to neuroscience or medicine in general. On average we had around 20 sponsors and exhibitors at each conference.
There are several good reasons for you to attend SNC'11 as a sponsor or exhibitor. You can get in contact with attendees from several regional countries and be associated with an important neuroscientific event. Your organisation can be efficiantly exposed in a pleasant environment of a high standard conference center, with support of an in-house professional congress organizing company. We offer advertisement and sponsoring options for any budget.
The venue of the conference is Cankarjev Dom, Cultural and Congress Centre in Ljubljana. Cankarjev Dom is the driving force behind the city's cultural, artistic and congress activities. It is a multipurpose centre with 56,000 sq m of event space with several auditoria ranging from 20 to 2,000 seats. It is situated in the centre of the city and within walking distance from all the major hotels, parking lots, shops, restaurants and main sights. The nearby Tivoli Park is Ljubljana's largest outdoor recreational area. The Congress Centre is attached to a shopping mall with several restaurants and cafes. The plenary talks and symposia will take place in a large theatre style Linhart hall that can seat up to 450 participants. The Workshop will take place in a smaller theatre style conference room that can seat up to 140 participants. The coffee breaks will be served in a large Foyer II where poster sessions, commercial exhibition, Brain-art exhibition and registration will be located, just outside the two lecture halls. The total area of the foyer is 1300 sq m with 600 sq m dedicated to the exhibition and posters.
Final information about sponsor options and the exhibition facilities, including the terms and conditions will be made available by the end of November 2010. To receive this information, please sign up below.
