The London - Innsbruck Colloquium on Status Epilepticus 2011

Igor M Ravnik | 27. 1. 2011

Dear colleagues and friends!

We are very pleased to invite you to the 3rd Colloquium on Status epilepticus, to be held in Oxford on April 7-9 2011.
The two previous congresses in this series (in 2007 in London and 2009 in Innsbruck) were highly successful events. At these congresses various aspects of Status Epilepticus were covered and were greatly enjoyed by the participants and audience alike. In this third congress, we have assembled a faculty of very great distinction as can be seen from the attached programme. The talks are gathered under 6 topics headings:

  • FUNDAMENTAL MECHANISMS OF STATUS EPILEPTICUS
  • EEG AND CONSCIOUSNESS
  • NEW APPROACHES TO ANTIEPILEPTIC DRUG TREATMENT
  • ITU MANAGEMENT OF STATUS EPILEPTICUS
  • TRIALS IN STATUS EPILEPTICUS
  • FUTURE PERSPECTIVES AND NOVEL THERAPY

There will be plenty of time for academic discussion and debate. There will also be poster sessions, and we encourage you to submit an abstract for the posters. We also have planned an excellent reception and peripheral events.
Oxford is a wonderful city to explore and to enjoy. It is an historic and beautiful city, and has been a centre of academic life in Britain for over 500 years. We hope too that this congress will prove an important academic event in the history of status epilepticus.
